AZOU Board Meeting on August 18, 2018

On August 18, 2018, a meeting of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Union of Public Organizations “Association of Animal Protection Organizations of Ukraine” took place in Kyiv.

Nine new public organizations from various Ukrainian cities were admitted, including “Public Legal Protection” (Kharkiv), “Animal Welfare” (Bila Tserkva), and others.

The “Volyn Animal Protection Society” was expelled due to actions contrary to AZOU’s objectives. The reason was the results of an inspection of the municipal enterprise “Laska” in Lutsk, where under the leadership of B.B. Novarchuk, numerous violations of sanitary and veterinary standards and animal cruelty were discovered.

A new Charter and Strategic Development Plan for 2018-2026 were put to a vote.

The next Congress of the Association was scheduled for October 20, 2018.
