AZOU Congress 2016

On October 22, 2016, the regular Congress of the Association of Animal Protection Organizations of Ukraine took place in Kyiv. The event was held at the Kyiv Zoological Park.

During the Congress, Deputy Director of the zoo Serhiy Kharkiv spoke about the role of zoological parks in preserving endangered species and the institution’s development prospects.

Representatives of the charitable organizations DogsTrust and “Four Paws-Ukraine” also presented at the event.

Following the vote, the AZOU President and Board members were elected:

• President: Asya Vilhelmivna Serpinska
• Vice Presidents: Zoya Savchenko (Kharkiv), Maryna Surkova (Vovchansk)
• Board Members: Viktor Kopach, Oleksandr Siplenko, Viktoriya Zhydkova, Mariya Trunova, Dana Novarchuk, Nataliya Tereshchenko
