Animal Shooting Plan Foiled in Haisyn
In Haisyn, Vinnytsia Oblast, animal protection activists foiled the city authorities’ plan to shoot stray animals.
A news portal reported that on the morning of March 28, while people were still sleeping, the shooting of stray dogs was planned in Haisyn.
On March 24, animal protectors arrived at the city council to negotiate with Mayor Anatoliy Huk, but he was not present.
On March 27, the activists appealed to the authorities again, submitting a written demand to cancel the decision. They emphasized that such actions violate the animal protection law and carry criminal liability for animal cruelty.
Thanks to the persistent efforts of activists, the shooting did not take place on March 28.
