Kharkiv Municipal Workers Steal Pet Dogs

On March 20, 2017, in the Novozhazanovo area, workers from the municipal animal handling center stole a pet dog that was sitting near its owner’s yard.

The center employees lured the domestic dog with food and then forcibly placed it in their vehicle. Witnesses observed the incident, with the homeowners running after the vehicle in an unsuccessful effort to reclaim their animal.

The incident was recorded on neighboring security cameras and subsequently shared online. The situation concluded with the owners repurchasing their dog from the municipal facility the same day.

A police report was filed regarding the alleged theft.
